the time has come...

It's my least favorite thing to do...

I do not enjoy it...

it takes too much time...

it's boring..

what is it?

Clothes shopping...

actually.. jeans shopping.

and here is the problem..

Since I don't shop, I don't have a clue what to buy..

These?

Maybe these?

oh..these?

Really.. does anyone out there know if I should buy

wide leg or skinny leg

light denim or dark denim

high waist or low waist

belt or no belt

Yes, there are more important things in life to worry about

but

I don't want to embarrass my kids when I go out..

  1. I hate that, too...and now I buy ones with an elastic waistband. I'm all about comfort and don't care at all about style any longer!!! LOL

  2. OMG...would anyone really wear those last ones? LOL Only thing I know about jeans is don't buy skinny legged ones unles you're VERY skinny. Supposedly a slightly loose or flared leg is more flattering. Who knew? LOL

  3. Nancy I've always had a hard time finding jeans to fit me. I finally found some at Kohls that I really like. I buy the black jeans as they seem to go with so many things. They are Lee's relaxed straight leg (at the waist). I know we are all shaped differently :-) but sometimes it just takes finding the right fit and sticking with it. Hope you have some success.

  4. Boot cut, flared leg whatever you want to call it is the one to get. I got lots of compilments when I switched. May the force be with you. I hate shopping too!

  5. I also hate to shop for clothes. I buy whatever I find fits the best. Lee jeans seem to fit me best. I think it is straight leg.

  6. Can your kids go with you? My daughters are my fashion police. They make sure it's not too young, and not too old ("you're a grandma mom, but you don't have to look like THAT kind of grandma")

  14. Not the skinny leg, especially if you're anything like me, with a little extra padding around the bottom area. The narrow leg just draws the eyes to the more rounder palaces on our body. I go for comfort, usually mid waist, but then I'm an odd shape. As for color I prefer the lighter denim, but that's just me. I'm sure you'll find what right for you.

  15. Now this is coming from someone who wears skirts/dresses 99% of the time, but if I do wear jeans I like the Lees mid waist boot cut with a bit of stretch in the denim. Very comfy and in style.
That 3rd pair is a hoot!

  16. I don't like clothes shopping either. Rarely do I find something that fits a short person. Buy what feels good when you put them on. Just allow for some shrinkage in the washer and dryer. And that last picture?? I don't know???

    Have a super great day.

  18. Not Your Daughters Jeans... not embarrassing jeans but not mom jeans either ... My mom who is 78 loves them and they have a kind of control top to make your tummy flat...
I just googled to make sure of the name and they have lift tuck technology....:D
they are kinda spendy but ....they really do kinda rock!

  19. I say you buy the last ones...those should make your DH happy, LOL!
I know nothing about jeans. I try to avoid wearing them, at all costs. I know, I'm weird. GP has worn two pairs in his entire life (I think they were from Baby Gap, LOL!), and he is fifteen that should tell you something about my jean aversion. I think if you stay away from Momma jeans you should be safe though...those are those high waited, dark ones...ewww.
Hope you share what you bought. =)
