Me - Oh, did they change the schedule, cause the calendar says til 9pm.

RS - No, I have to work until 10pm. You have to add an hour for daylight savings time.

Ok, Please stop.....

We voted. At 6am. We were not the only ones there and now I wish I would have taken my camera. The line was at least 100 ft long. We had to park across the street in a new subdivision and cross a 2 lane highway in the dark.... We did it the ol'fashion way. With cardboard placards separating us, paper ballots and ink pens to fill in the circle.

So, now I am looking forward to the commercials and phone calls stopping. I will NOT be watching the returns tonight. I will packing for my last retreat of the year which starts next Monday....Miss Nancy and I are off to a lovely state park in Illinois for 3 days of sewing, eating, talking and sharing.... I have attended this retreat for the past 8 years, this will be Miss Nancy's first trip.... I can't wait...

Last time I went on retreat, I had a contest (click here)to see who could guess how many projects I would get done. Should we do that again? Maybe I can get Miss Nancy(no blog) to list her projects here and we can do two giveaways??

So how did you spend your extra hour yesterday?

After going to bed at the normal 10pm time (and setting the clocks back to 9pm),I got up at the usual time. I went through my normal routine...shower, make tea, read email, eat cereal, read blogs and then dive into the mess around the house. Pretty soon it was time for lunch....OH NO! It's only 10:15am... ha ha.... I can't eat lunch yet, so I made a coconut cream pie, took out the fish to thaw for dinner and ran a load of clothes. Then I ran the vacuum upstairs and down. Then I had to help DH do some "holding". He is making a gun chest and I needed to help hold. Now it's lunch time?? No, it's only 11:45am. Well, close enough...

This afternoon I spent time in the sewing room. I moved my sewing table around and now my thread holders are hanging on the wrong wall. Of course, asking a woodworker to move a couple of thread holders is like asking a quilter to mend a pair of pants, so they haven't been moved yet. I started working on a tote bag for a Christmas exchange at quilt guild.






I love this fabric with the measuring tapes on it. It's so cute... I only found the blue, but last week I noticed that Patches (another quilt store) has it in red. I need the red don't you think? And there is a sale on Tuesday for election day...I think I even have a coupon for a discount. Seems to me like a trip is in the works....

Off to Raspberry Patch today...Maybe they will let me take photos??

I took my camera yesterday to the LOG EXPO, but forgot and left it in the truck. Oh well, just imagine a large room filled with lincoln logs.... LOL



So many booths, so many different ways to build a log home. I let DH talk to all the vendors, while I just paged through the floor plans. I love floor plans. I really should have gone to school for architecture... I brought home pages, books and pamplets full of home plans and sat all evening looking at them. DH and I have lived in 13 homes since we married almost 37 years ago. I KNOW what I want for our last home. I look and look at plans and am determined to find the perfect floor plan....

Did you remember to set your clock back? I woke up this morning at 6:15am which is an hour before I normally wake up. I know that I will get a lot done today with that extra hour. I also know that I will be heading to bed one hour early. LOL

Well, I am off to do my chores and then head to the sewing room. I have a few gifts to make today. Tomorrow I am off on a shopping trip with a friend. She is going to look at a new long arm machine and I will be looking at some fabric for yet another Christmas quilt. Wonder who this one will be for?

errand day....

Yesterday was errand day. I got all of them done so I bought myself a present...



On sale in the Thanksgiving aisle for $12.50.

Today we are off to the LOGEXPO. Maybe I will have some photos to show you tomorrow.
