Congrats.......and a contest

Congrats go to my second daughter. She interviewed for a new job last week and last night she accepted.... She will be an office nurse! Regular hours, home each night with her kids and hubby, no holidays, no weekends, still close to home. Not a bad deal. Right now she works with the criminally insane and you know you can only do that for a limited time.....

I think she will enjoy it. I was a pediatric office nurse for 12 years. I loved every minute of it and only transferred to the hospital when a new nurse manager and I didn't see eye to eye....turns out I had some kind of intuition as she was neither a good manager or a nurse...yes, she had lied about being an RN. Who does that and thinks they won't get caught...

So, how about if we do this....

Email my daughter and congratulate her on her new job...

Leave a comment and I will send you her email address... please make sure there is a way to email you...some of you come in as no-reply.

When you email her, send me a copy and I will put your name in a drawing for something good...

WHAT?

Who knows....maybe a pattern, maybe a fq, maybe some thread...I will shop for you....

Ok....you have 3 days... I will pick a name on Sunday am and get the prize in the mail on Sunday Monday duh.....

And last night I averted a crisis...tell you all about it Sunday...

Nancy

Yes send me her email address. My daughter just interviewed with St Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City this morning at 8:30 for a PR job. She is hoping to get a second call back. She said it sounds promising.
Congratulations to your daughter.

Have to agree with Bonnie and Joanna! That blows my mind that someone lied about being an RN. The world is full of crazies.

That's great news, I'm sure the family will enjoy seeing more of her.

Congratulations on the new job! Hope all goes well for a long time. I know your family will be glad to see more of you. For that one that lied about being an RN, you are better off away from her.

I'll jump in. My daughter is in nurse's training and today was told her part-time job is over: owners have to cut back because of $$ problems. She only has 1 1/2 months to go and thinks she/they will be able to hold out until she can go to work for real.

Okay, I know Bonnie is right but I also know that bribery can get results, LOL. I truly am so happy for your daughter. I don't know how long she worked with the criminally insane but I did for a short time (about 3 months) when we lived in California. Oh...I will never forget it, even though it was over 30 years ago. Tough, very tough. It will be so wonderful for her to be home in the evenings, on weekends and holidays. She will love it. I would love to send her a happy note congratulating her. Which, by the way reminds me...didn't you win one of the prizes in the Canton Village Quilt Works giveaway? I know when I saw the name Nancy my heart tried to get excited but when I clicked on the name, your profile came up so congratulations are in order for you too. Do you remember Pat Sloans Orange Stash Challenge earlier this year? I won the orange key chain you gave away as a prize. My scissors are still on it and I never have trouble finding them. The first giveaway I ever won, it was soooo exciting. You know I was notified that night that I had also won another giveaway, first prize, a complete quilt kit, though it never came through, and none of the other three smaller prizewinners that particular shop listed receive their prizes. She kept sending emails saying it was on the way, then another email would come saying she was getting it ready, then the emails stopped. I just decided the little gal that offered the giveaway just had more going on than she could handle. I just couldn't get angry about not receiving something that was free to begin with. I love my keychain though **smile**. Have a blessed evening.

I'm with Bonnie too - would love to tell her congrats! My DIL just did the same thing, moved from hospital to office. Yeah, the regular hours and lots less stress. Early this summer, they all treated a h1n1 case without knowing it was. Ugh. My hats off to health care worker.

Lookin forward to getting her email address. (rudjana AT sbcglobal.net)

Well looks like bribery does have some results. There are now more than 9 comments.
Congrats to you and your daughter. We have something to do with their acomplishments, even if it is just the encouragement and support we provide. Send me her e-mail and I'll send one out to her. I am working in a Nursing Home and I know the magnatude of the Nurses responsiblities each and every day. It doesn't matter what environment they are in. The office nursing position will be a great spot for her I am sure.
