Out on a limb....again

Joanne left a comment on yesterdays post. Joanne and I are old pals from Pat Sloans old "almost" defunk yahoo group. I can't reply to her cause she didn't leave an email address and she comes up as no-reply, but she reminded me about our last move.
She surprised me by remembering that I had designed a wall hanging in that terrible stressful time.

Four years ago we put our (last) house up on the market. We had three different couples very interested in the house and the first two dropped out for one reason or another... ( I remember one ladies reason was because we didn't have garage door openers, whatever!) We finally got down to the last couple and there was a lot of going back and forth....

ANYWAY.... while going through all that I designed, sewed and quilted a little wall hanging that kind of expressed how I felt...

Out On A Limb... I love this little hanging and it hung proudly in the family room of this house. Last week I was told by the Real Estate Agent that I needed to remove all of the wall quilts except for the large one hanging in the living room. I hated removing this one...and just might hang it back up... Maybe it will bring us good luck? Maybe it will remind me that we only need ONE buyer for this house?

Then of course it can't help me with everything... We seem to be a family of accidents....

Yesterday as the Rock Star was coming home from school the local school bus ran him off the road into the ditch and he got a boo-boo on his car...

UPDATE-School Bus Barn Boss says that the Rock Star was on the wrong side of the road and will not be taking any responsibility... so it's 17 yo story against retired Fire Chief bus driver story. Gee, I wonder who will win...

HA......Rock Star won't stand a chance against a fine upstanding citizen like that bus driver....but I"ve seen too often where those "fine" folks are WRONG (and they LIE, too).

I love your "Out on a Limb" hanging. I'd keep it hanging up. You know you can click on the profile of the no reply blogger and if she has a blog it will show the link.

What a gorgous little quilt - Love it! Poor Rocks Star, hope it's only the car and his ego that are dented! Were there any witnesses? Poor 'not so little' man :)

OK, Nancy. I don't know how to change from "no reply." I can select "email follow-up comments to jonesjo@gmail.com" (which I will do). However, I think I tried that once and got every following comment on the post in my inbox, not something I particularly want.

I love your Out on a Limb quilt, Nancy. Are you moving to another town or just changing houses?

Hi Nancy,
Love your wall hanging.
I also know older drivers often try and get out of the responsibility with new drivers. Mum and another lady were witnesses to such a case and told him off and gave the young lady their contact details.
One thing, if their are no witnesses (what about the people on the bus?) surely where the damage is on the relevant vehicles should tell a story of their own.
Hugs,
Sharon

I've just had a quick look at the piccie of rock star's car. If he was on the wrong side of the road, why is the damage on the driver's side?

My son had an accident at age 16 and was hit by a car with two adult men who lied. We thought we stood no chance but a witness went to the police station ton say that she saw it all and the adults were at faoult. You may have abetter chance than you think if an adult witnessed the event and has a conscience

It's a hard life lesson for rock star. Put the quilt back up I say and pray to St Joseph, good luck.

At least Rock Star wasn't hurt..... you can handle everything else.

I JUST LOVE your out on a limb quilt! You should sell this pattern! I know I would buy it!

Good luck selling your house.

(PS Have you heard about St Joseph and house selling? Google it :) )
