My flat tire....

Yesterday I had a flat tire on the interstate. So I eased my car over to the
shoulder of the road, carefully got out of the car and opened the trunk.

I took out 2 cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my car
facing oncoming traffic. They look so lifelike you wouldn't believe! They
are in trench coats, exposing their nude bodies and private parts to the
approaching drivers.

I started to change my tire, and to my surprise, cars started slowing down
looking at my lifelike men. And of course, traffic started backing up.
Everybody was tooting their horns and waving like crazy. It wasn't long
before a state trooper pulled up behind me.

He got out of his car and started walking towards me. I could tell he was not
a happy camper!

"What's going on here?"

"My car has a flat tire," I said calmly.

"Well, what are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?"

I couldn't believe that he didn't know. So I told him,
"Hello-o-o-o-o-o, those are my emergency flashers!"

Sorry no photos, do you have any idea what images appear when you google "flashers"?

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

Where do go to get a pair of those flashers? Wonderful story, which I can tell you now that I have picked myself up off the floor!

I see another Pat beat me to the comment section of this post. The reason for that is...I was laughing so hard I was unable to type....that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! What a HOOT you are, Nancy. And I still don't know if this is for real OR a joke you are passing along to us. I'm thinking with your sense of humor, it could be either!!! ☺

Oh Nancy, ROFLOL! I can well imagine what happens when you google the flashers so I'll pass. But I've got to find myself some, LOL! I admire you for fixing your own tire too. I'm afraid I'd have probably sat there frustrated waiting for AAA. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it and am sure it made having to change your tire a little less tiring, gggg.

OK, I copied your flat tire story and sent it to my mother. She apparently believed it had happened to me and was telling friends what I had done, until my sister told her it was a joke. She is finally laughing about it and talking to me again.
