Another project started....

Because I don't have 3 quilts ready for quilting...
Because I don't have a BOM stitching block to do...
Because I don't have to finish a BOM for the quilt guild....
And because I am caught up with my Calendar Quilt (not!)

I decided to start a new project...

Here's a sneak peak...

I am teaching myself learning to do the back stitch. Honest now..how does it look so far? Three strands of DMC yellow/orangy peach variegated.. on some fabric from the local Walmarts...(yea, I said WalmartS, just like everyone else in this town does and yea, my WalmartS still have some fabric).

The Guest Blogger is having some hospital time tomorrow, so I am being a good younger sister and taking her there and bringing her home. Will spend the night tonight (we will watch SURVIVOR and since she lives alone NO ONE WILL TALK!! YEA!) and then also tomorrow night. I wonder what she wants for her last supper....LOL Maybe CHINESE? I never get Chinese!! She can eat until midnight. Should I wake her up at 11:30pm for a snack?? LOL

See ya in a couple of days. I hope to work on my stitching as I sit in the waiting room..

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

Hope all goes well with your sis. Your backstitch looks fine to me. I learnt a long time ago not to stitch it the traditional way, but I use the stab method, no gaps.

Good luck to your sister with her procedure. Enjoy some sister time with her....and the QUIET that will be there during Survivor!!! Heck...I always eat right up to the deadline when I have a procedure...pretty funny, huh? SO...I vote for waking her up at 11:30 tonight for some last-minute eats and treats!

Hope things have gone well for your sis and that you've had some nice time to visit as well. I want to know if you did the sister thing and woke her up to eat a last tidbit before midnight, LOL!

What is it about great minds thinking alike???!!!

I've been staring and staring at Jenny's stitches on the Shabby Rose BOM and her backstitches are absolutely beautiful!! Just sent her an email to brag on her and had decided that I needed to try back stitching on her project instead of my normal stem stitch. Decided to check your blog to see how you've been doin' and what do I find - you're doing a back stitch!! LOL!!

If you've got any hints on the back stitch, email me!! Your stitches look GREAT!!!

Glad your sister is doing well!! You're a definite keeper!

Hugs!
