Cottage Magpie is asking everyone to help welcome Spring.... In Mid Missouri we are in the midst of downpours and flooding. Luckily we are not in a flood area, although you wouldn't know it looking at the backyard.
So here are some little bits of green from around my home.....
These little wooden birds sit on a desk my DH made.
Part of a quilt hanging in the dining room.
The only plant that has ever stayed alive for longer than 5 days. I have even killed cactus...
An oil painting by my Great Aunt Eileen
Lunch bag made for my sister
A pillow I embroidered a couple of years ago.
A photo of two of my grandchildren
My favorite clock.
Happy Spring...
Nancy

Lovely green things! I hopped over from the Cottage Magpie. I am hunting through my house for green things to post as well. I love the quilt! And it hangs in your dining room? What a neat idea!! I tried a couple of years ago to quilt, but I thought I was too busy... Now I have an almost one-year-old daughter, so now I am really too busy. But I would loveee to learn! One of my mother's best friends hand quilts, and she made my mother two quilts she did by hand...one for me and one for my sister. And I collect old quilts from antiques stores (if I can afford them). They are such treasures and I wish I knew the stories behind them from the women who did them. I only know the owners of two of my antique quilts (and I don't really know them, I just know their names and where they lived). Anyway, you have a beautiful family! Look how tiny baby Abbie looks...precious...
Have a wonderful day, Nancy!
You have a beautiful family, in addition to all the lovely spring green. :)
Spring - in the South of England we have had snow today!
Love the lunch bag.
You have great pictures. I love them all especially the Cardinal. Miss Nancy
Anyone would want to take lunch in the fun bag!
I enjoyed all of the entries in Cottage Magpie's Green Roundup so much that I'm adding a post to my blog about it too.
