A baby and a bench....

OH!

OH!!

OHHHHHH........Hi Grandma!!

Abbie (otherwise known as bitty to her momma) has been staying with grandma and grandpa since Friday... She has turned out to be a very good baby. She is on a fairly regular schedule and is back on it today. She was way way way off on Saturday. She was up at 5am (2 hours early) and then of course all the naps and feedings were off. She finally went down for the night at 6pm. I got up at 2:30am to give her a bottle and change her diaper, but she went right back down and slept til this morning... I think we are back on track. Just in time for her to go home sometime today. Our daughter and SIL had a chance at a house and weekend at the lake and they deserve it. They both work shift work and with three kids you don't get a chance to be alone very often.....

On another note -

3 steaks, 3 potatoes and 2 tomatoes for dinner $17
gas for trip to sister and brother-in-laws $20
getting to use scratch cover for the first time, cut foam with an electric knife, hold fabric while sister uses an electric staple gun and use a glue gun for the first time - PRICELESS

Her flea market find that will have a place on honor in her new condo... She done good!!!

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

OK, where do I sign up for babysitting duty? I can't promise not to spoil her rotten but I can assure you that after a weekend I will give her back, LOL! Boy, I sure wish I were a grandma right about now. How wonderful it must be to snuggle and smooch and then send her back home for the hard stuff....sounds like heaven!
On another note, that bench looks great. Nice work!

AWW Shucks...I really, really appreciate you and your hubby putting up with me and my bench project and grilling the steaks, etc.

*Removing 200 staples - 1 1/2 hours
*Scratch coating - 2 hours
*Cutting, stapling, gluing - 1 hour
*Completing the renovation - Priceless!!

And it was fun to be around Abbie!!

A BIG Thank You!!!

Your Sis!!

Now that is one cute baby! You and whoever did a great job on the bench. I love it. I can't believe that is the first time you have used a hot glue gun. I use mine for everything! You wouldn't believe all the things I have used a glue gun on. I even have a cordless one! Take it anywhere.

Lilly - I'm Nancy's sister and I'm the one who never used a glue gun - it was her gun and glue and she was very gentle with me :)
