What a mess......

I CAN believe it took all morning to clean this filthy mess. I really need to teach myself to put things away when I finish with them. The rest of my house doesn't look like this!! Of course, I always keep the door shut so that doesn't help give me any motivation to keep it straight. I really need to weed some of this stuff out of there, or get better organization or something... I end up buying duplicates cause I can't find anything. I have enough patterns and books to keep me busy for the rest of my life....I did find two things to list on SewItsForSale, so hopefully someone will buy those and I will have a tiny bit of space to spare. Oh, who am I kidding. Those things didn't take up much space and now they are sitting on the couch in the family room waiting for someone to claim them, so they aren't even IN the sewing room any more... I am hopeless...

And look what I added to the sewing room. Now this is worth keeping. Brenda showed this little wool bag she made for her Rotary Cutter. BUT...her RC didn't fit. I told her it would fit mine (jokingly) and she sent it to me....Is it not the cutest thing you have ever seen?? And I love HOUSES!! Anything with a house on it is my style. I would love to find a redwork BOM with a house theme. Anyone know of one? It would have to be hand embroidery, not machine embroidery.

And look what I got from Daisie...

What a sweetie...Thanks Daisie, I love your blog too....

So here are the rules...

1. The winner can put the logo on her blog
2. Link the person you received your award from
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls or boys you've nominated

So I give this award to these bloggers that I read every day....

Kim because she recycles and makes it sound like fun.
Stephanie who is determined to use her crockpot for 365 days running
Helen who makes me want to pack up and move to Australia
Joanna who finds time to sew even with 3 little kids
and finally
Sweet P who is a huge sports fan, but keeps it real by quilting (she has two blogs so check her out HERE also)

Better go now...I have started watching 2 neighborhood kids after school and today I have slice and bake sugar cookies for them to bake and decorate with sprinkles. They are only here for an hour so hopefully there won't be too much of a mess.

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

Hi Nancy! thank you for this!

I have a whole stash of fabric in a tupperware in the garage that I can't wait to dive into once the kids are back in school. I have about a million 1/4-completed projects. You've inspired me!

I feel better now, knowing I am not the only one that can let her space get a bit untidy. You did a great job cleaning the room. Congrats. I love the case for your RC. How lucky for you that hers didn't fit!

Well Nancy, believe me, you're not the only one with a sewing room out of control. Nice clean up job! Now could you come on over and help tidy up mine? I'm only a state away LOL!

Nice clean up! It's always feel good to have a clean space to work in.

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations with DHL. Maybe that's why they are not #1 or #2. Our company refuses to use DHL for delivery service.

Your redwork baskets are looking great!
