Been there, done that. Been there and not noticed the date until after we ate also.
Hey we've done that! we lived. (but I don't think it was over a year old)
(and it tasted kinda funny, we looked up the date because of the taste)

Oh, you are so funny. I am often amazed at the dates on items I take out of the refrigerator and I say "has that been in there that long?"
