design wall monday (March 8th)

The bedroom set is finally finished.. We (meaning DH and the son) lugged all
400 lbs of it up two flights of steps. They are now resting.

I give him a week before he tells me the next project. He has to have something going at all times. Otherwise he is bored.

Isn't it pretty? He even cleaned out his old dresser and put all his own clothes away.

Those are rugs underneath.. I am funny about the carpet and I didn't want to take any chances of any wet stain seeping. They aren't there anymore.

You can see the other bedroom furniture pieces here and here...

And my design wall isn't empty either.

These are the next two blocks in my First Saturday quilt at a LQS. I have one more block to make and two more Saturdays and this one will be finished.

And because I can, here is a photo of all five of my grandkids and one of Grace cheering for a basketball game at a local church.

Tomorrow I have a video for you... It's a good one...

The grandkids are getting so big now!!! Love the new furniture. You are lucky he can do that......wish we had some of that talent here, but our talent here (for DH) is computers and electronics.

That oak wardrobe is beautiful! You will love the shelves in it. Everything is easy to see. You will soon say, why didn'te he put shelves on both sides?!
Adorable grandson and friends too.
Happy Sewing.

the furniture is beautiful. My dad makes furniture too. I have to try to remember to show him your pictures next time he comes over. He's made most of my furniture over the years. He too always has a project of some kind going.

What can I say?? The chest is gorgeous. Tell hubby it is gorgeous and a job well done. Your blocks are wonderful. For some reason they look like mine which are not currently on the design wall but will be soon. Well done on the blocks. And the grandkids are just precious, absolutely precious.

Everyone have a great day.

Wow, you have quite the handy DH. If he gets bored, do you think I could borrow him for a few days? LOL

What a stunning piece of furniture! I can see lots of uses for those drawers and shelves in my studio.

Your grandchildren are adorable! I bet you enjoy them a lot.
