It's true. Alcohol doesn't make you sleepy..

I am back home after three days of staycation. Unfortunately I am too old to even THINK about venturing out with three kids under the age of 7. Not going to happen. So we stayed home with Disney Monopoly, Nintendo DS, made brownies and watched High School Musical. One day they even stayed in their jammies all day....

I last left you wondering what I had purchased at the quilt show last Saturday so here it is....

A yard of little red squares. I have no plan for this now, but couldn't pass it up.

This book -

For this pattern - I have become very smitten with birds lately.

and finally, these 30's reds for my basket quilt. This is the first time I have purchased a jelly roll (or worms as the seller called them). I can't wait to open it.

No, Alcohol doesn't make you sleepy....but these guys will...

Off to restock the fridge...

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

I hear ya......fatigue after being with the grandkids seems to be a universal "affliction". LOL Enjoy some quiet time for YOU now! Nice purchases at the quilt show, too.

Poor granny, you might need an afternoon nap for the next few days. Very yummy fabric and that book looks terrific especially the page you had it turned to.

I think all of that would wear me out too - but I would need to try it to know for sure.
Love the red "worm" group. And the quilt with the birds is great. Can't wait to see how you interpret it.

I'm in the same boat as you with grandchildren! They were just here for a week (four of them 4mos to 5yrs), WITH mommy and Daddy and the day they left I came down with some infection....I was just wiped out!
I hear you about birdies lately too....they are so cute on fabrics...birds and owls seem to be 'in' and very desirable!

Love your quilt show finds. It is always so fun to bring something home. And the little munchkins are so cute. But it reminds me why we have children when we are young :-)
